Ted has always been in the mix of the London music scene, being a
contemporary of the emerging rock scene in the late sixties he worked
at the famous London UFO . Club witnessing the birth of bands such as
Pink Floyd, Cream, The Rolling Stones, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and
many others during those heady days.

In the mid-seventies he reopened the legendary Klooks Kleek club in
West Hampstead as the Moonlight Club and as a band and club manager
was the first to showcase Adam And The Ants, the Cure , Pretenders,
The Specials The  Damned and a host of many emerging New Wave Talent
of the time.

During this period he recorded two compilation albums featuring bands
that had played the club including the firs recordings of the
Specials.

After a successful period of band management he became a collector of
rock art in particular flyers and posters of the early and mid
sixties.

During his time as a collector he was asked in 1989 to be a head of
Phillips Entertainment Department and was in charge of running their
Rock Pop And Film auctions. During this time he was the first to hold
an Auction dedicated only to Beatles collectables, "Beatles For Sale".

After two years with Phillip's he was head hunted by Bonham's and
asked to form a similar music entertainment auction for them.

As head of department for Bonham's Ted held many spectacular sales
including the Elvis auction held in Las Vegas   where the Burning Love
Jump suit fetched a record-breaking $150.000. the Jimi Hendrix Auction
that followed also broke all records where six of his most famous
jackets sold for 10 times over estimate and the famous Gibson flying
Fetched over $120.000.

The second product from the same vendor saw the Band Of Gypsies
1969-70 New Years eve show, master tapes surface ,discovered by Ted in
 A hay barn in North Carolina ,which after much research was sold to
Paul Allen's museum in Seattle for over$ 1.5 million .

Also during this time Ted held the first dedicated sales of
Psychedelic poster art, bring Stanley Mouse to exhibit in London.

He Later wrote th best selling book" High Art" dedicated to the
History of the rock poster.

In 1999 Ted had a meeting with Mick Fleetwood and they formed a new
auction entity dedicated to helping rock and music artists sell some
of their prized items , "FleetwoodOwen " During this Time they sold
the historic Steinway piano that John Lennon composed Imagine on at
the Hard Rock Café in London for a world record price of 1.5 million
sterling.

Mick had always wanted to reform Fleetwood Mac and in 2004 his dream
came true and the band went back on the road together .

Ted met friend and business partner Cliff Cooper (Mr. Orange Amp) who
at the time had several shops in London's famous Denmark Street and
they decided to form an extension of FleetwoodOwen and purchased that
company to form COOPEROWEN .

During this period Ted sourced  the Handwritten Lyric for the Beatles
anthem "All You Need Is Love"which sold for a world record breaking
price of $1.7 million and found the guitar the Paul McCartney had
learnt to play on which sold for $500.000.another find was the 12
STRING that Jimi Hendrix Played 'Hear My Train Coming "

Cooper Owen was eventually sold to a city investment group and
disillusioned with the  "Money First" attitudes of the directors  Ted
left to form a new company  Called the Fame Bureau which found and
sold the Fender Stratocaster which Hendix set fire to at the London
Astria Theatre in 1967, CooperOwen some months later went into
liquidation.

Ted Has finally decided to dedicate the later part of his career
working with a hand picked  new team of emerging young talent from the
world of popular music collectables  committed to give bespoke service
and respect to the Industry where quality and good service comes
before the dirty dollar.

Ted Owen and Company will also be filming the discoveries for a forth
coming TV Docu- Drama featuring the behind the scenes hunt, research
and sales of the holy grails of entertainment collectables

Ted Is a regular contributor to Radio ,Television and print media and
is a registered expert witness for High Court cases related to loss or
claims of Historical musical value.

Ted has also mounted the first exhibition dedicated to Jimi Hendrix
featuring Clothing , art , posters , guitars and contracts  in 2002.

And mounted the Madonna exhibition in London's  Brick Lane in 2009
featuring the Evita clothing collection , stage clothing , awards ,
merchandising and a host of relating props
